I think it was discussed in another thread that it is not 6 months of service. The actual phone needs to be on a service (any cricket service) for 6 months to be unlocked.

Yep. I was referring to the service requirement for ALL 8 lines if you do get 8 free phones from them. Cricket could've just required the consumer to keep all 8 lines open for 6 months regardless...
