Any monitor that is VESA compatible can be used in portrait/vertical setup but the question comes down to if you will be mounting or not,... not many stands rotate into portrait setup

I will say this monitor was not to impressive, but once I removed the anti glare film on it to make it glossy...damn it was beautiful..the anti glare screen just kills the picture quality.

FreeSync monitors are supported by GSync only if they use DisplayPort connection. Looks like this one is HDMI only, which means no GSync. :(
