Show me a "good" panel at $150 with 165hz+. 1440p is much harder to drive. My 9700k/16gb/1080 barely pushes 1440p/144hz. I agree that 1440p looks better but you're going to need a fair bit of power...

Pretty controversial comment it seems, I had a 27 inch 1080 though and I gotta agree, the pixel density crossed the threshold it seems. I ended up going with 25 inch 1080 in the end.

I've got a 1080p projector on a 120" screen, 10.5ft view distance. Works pretty good. It's like sitting a foot away from a 22" monitor.
