Is a different type of cpu and gpu better for a non gaming office pc or is this just a case is overkill
In other words would a $600 pc potentially perform better for office use ?

PowerSpec is pretty decent if you're looking for a prebuilt. And this isn't a bad price. You could probably save $100-200 if you built it yourself and spent some time looking for deals on...

I am looking for a new gaming PC. I'm a Flight Sim and Racing type gamer. This looks like an amazing deal for a pre-built system. I haven't built a computer for gaming in 10+ years.
On the PC...

Def overkill.
For the stuff you are describing a normal 500 or so PC will suffice. Try to
Maximize your HD space and memory. This CPU and GPU it’s not something needed for those task.

Is this overkill for an office pc (no gaming) just heavy office use, pdf, loading thousands of photo thumbnails, opening tons of tabs at once, etc. Or will a $700 slickdeal PC do just fine
