A brad nailer is not really meant for baseboards, casings, or crown molding. That's finish nailer territory. The brad nailer may work, but the heads are much smaller. If the trim is never touched...

Personally would not recommend buying pre-owned unless you get a good warranty. The factory warranty is 3 years, I have had mine 2.5 years and am on my 4th unit, had one for about 1.5 years working...

Nothing you mentioned is really brad nail type work. My point was, theres little difference between a finish nailer and 18 gauge brad nailer for things like trims, moldings, etc. To each their own

I personally own 2 18ga 1 23ga and a 16ga and we have 8 others of all gauges our installers use in almost 4 years on most of them we've only had 1 23ga go down. I'm pretty sure it's user error in...

I would never mess with those adapters for the reasons you stated. Plus if you know how to SlickDeal, you could've gotten a new Ryobi battery, nailer and charger for about the same price or lower...
