You do need your Sprint account number which is different than your phone number. Get it from your billing page at sprint.com. It's in the top right. You may be able to chat to get it too.

Be careful I just bought this for a Sprint Samsung S7 Edge and none in that Kit was compatible had to go to the Sprint store and lucky the Manager had the correct sim and gave it to me free.
