Depends the type of work you're doing. As an electrician, I can say that 100 lumens is plenty to illuminate what I'm working on

100 lumens? That's like a keychain light on your forehead. I have 150 lumens head lamp and it's pretty worthless unless you're in complete darkness.

Everybody is worried about only 100 lumens. The thing that sucks is that it takes 3 AAA batteries. 100 lumens is plenty but 3 AAA s makes it expensive. Should be one AA.

Sheesh, so many lumen snobs in this discussion. Yeah, 100 lumens is not a lot in the realm of LED lights, but if you have much more than that while working on something within arms reach, like an...

I've got one similar to this WITH the third strap, and that's the feature I find most annoying. It constantly pulls towards the top of the head (and then falls off).

I think this is a good deal on car/tent camping trips. Good enough to walk to the bathroom or work in the tent. There's a purpose for these little lights. Use the red to keep your night vision.

I got the free one, and it is in fact LED. It works great for fixit stuff. One thing is that the beam is too concentrated. I had to fuzz up the lens and now it is perfect. And the price was right.
