HP-7021 is more like the Toyota OEM filters for the 1.8L and similar sized engines. I used the PS-7021 5 years ago in my wife’s Corolla and went back to OEM. Just didn’t feel comfortable with them...

I'd love to know the micron rating of these. I use them for my Tundra but have seen claims of 10 microns all the way to efficiency in the 80's which is not good. Anyone know?

Seems both hp and ps is high flowing filters? So it is really not for extended uses since to do that there has to be less filter materials so the flow is less restricting.

Btw is it possible to change the filter without drain oil on the 3rd gens? Since these a high flow so less filtering material so figured to swap these every 4k miles and leave the synthetic till 8k...

The air filter lasts longer because its filtering capacity is lower than an OEM type filter. It's letting a lot more through that other filters would actually filter out. How else do you think K&N...

When I was young I thought K&N were the best. But after tearing some down, I will no longer buy them for their cheap filter material and rusty insides. Wix or Mobil 1 by a long shot.
