AndroidTV isnt awful, it's arguably the most versatile, thus best. But manufacturers love to throw crap hardware in TVs and AndroidTV is more performance intensive than roku.

Picture is good, built in OS is awful, but adding a Roku to it made a world of difference.

Got one for my dad bedroom last black friday. The FHD one instead of 4k. Picture is useable. Don't expect much. Only downside is u can see the backlight bleed from all 4 sides of the screen

Agreed but for general viewers they only use what they will use and lag on a new product is not desirable and makes it feel cheap compared to anything without input lag.
