Sure it's a bit crazy but keep in mind this sucker provides three separate wifi networks. If a normal routers have two or three for one network, eight for three doesn't seem THAT strange.

Be careful to just compare the CPU of a router. It’s more than just CPU but also power amplifier and more. But yes, the majority of people will have better bang for the buck with the cheaper version.

I'd say the coverage will be more than good enough for an apartment, especially the 5ghz band. As for if it's better, that depends. If you're a gamer or do a lot with wireless then it's pretty good....
