No problem, I bought the R12s for like 115.00 ea to 123ea and having 2 subs was definitly a game changer vs just having my 1 bic F12. What a deal dont see how they made money because the box was...

Well you have to keep in mind unfortunately no one can actually tell how sound thing will sound or compare to you, you kinda have to do that yourself. I would point out that the JBL and Klipsch...

Agree with all of this. However, I was surprised how much difference I noticed between the 530 and 590 in listening to music in "multi-channel" mode. Music can be very revealing of small...

I agree with the nice wide sweet spot from these horns. And I also agree that these speakers will reveal limitations in source material. However, I find that streamed audio can sound very good,...

Thanks for the details. Since my Polk T50 is loud enough even with low volume and my Pioneer towers FS52 needs more volume from the receiver, I thought the tower speakers require more power.

You seem like you know a lot about this stuff, I'd like your opinion on whether I can make a 5.1 system with just 2 pairs of 530 bookshelfs and a center speaker, or If if I should get 2 580 towers...

I called jbl and the customer service guy told me the code will only work in harmonaudio.com. Both the sites have these speakers for sale.

So which one worked better for music? I have a 12" Infinity sub and was wondering if I can get away with just the 530s as my fronts.

Was thinking about the RP-8000F just for music, when they go on sale. But I've heard they are better for male vocals, while the JBLs are more tuned for female voices. How does the RP160 compare to...

If Klipsch is considered bright, what would JBLs like these be characterized as?

I'm happy with my f12 paired with a set of 530's for the fronts. What was your take when you updated to two smaller Infinity subs?
Post #135326777 added 03-03-2020 8:18 PM by Eggtuary in Deal Talk
Absolutely. This line of speakers has good sensitivity, so doesn't require a ton of power to drive. The towers are especially easy to drive, which always seems backwards (you'd think smaller...

Can Yamaha TSR 7850 drive 5.1.2 JBL 530LR, 520C and Sony sscs5 surround LR and Klipsch RB 61 II FP LR with no issues? I have klipsch and Sony sub.

I would point out regarding that last paragraph. A drawback is a sub no matter how good it is can't cover all low bass. You can try with your receiver's "bass management" but then it won't blend well...

I think people greatly underestimate how much is lost in music going from a tower to a bookshelf, even with a sub in the mix. I still listen to music as 2.0 in my setups, despite having ample sub...

I understand he might be bragging, but if not for his suggestion, I never would have thought to get extra money of an already ridiculous sale. So kudos for that.
