Yep, it looks like they're able to offer it for a lot cheaper because Costco deals with shipping and returns instead of Casper, and you'd have to return it to Costco yourself if you don't like it. ...

They said "the Essentials", but I doubt it. I am sure Costco version is a customed (cheaper version of) Essentials because it got horrible reviews at Costco. Take a look at the Costco honest reviews....

I was previously sleeping on a Spa Sensations (Zinus) memory foam mattress which was significantly softer. It was advertised as medium as well. I have no issues with heat.

I confirmed it via their official Casper.com website chat. It's the same with the original "the Casper" with 2" more in foam. No cooling Gel foam technology though.
