FYI this only works for 7' doors while I feel 8' is more of the standard. You will need to purchase an extension for $30-40 if you want this to work on an 8' garage

Check if sunlight is hitting the infrared sensors on the base of the garage. I’ve had this problem, even with newer models of garage doors. Not sure if this model will help though.
