I know this is not a pretty solution, but you could try shaving down the plastic handle for better contacts for magnets. You may also try re-magnetizing them (you can find how-to articles online)....

On the other hand of you are looking for stack ability, I would avoid the spoons and cups. They do not nest very well and do not stay together in the drawer.
