I know this is not a pretty solution, but you could try shaving down the plastic handle for better contacts for magnets. You may also try re-magnetizing them (you can find how-to articles online)....

If you read the top 4 reviews on Amazon they complain of weak magnets. That's the issue that I have with mine. They do nest, albeit not the best, but the magnets are not strong enough to hold them...

On the other hand of you are looking for stack ability, I would avoid the spoons and cups. They do not nest very well and do not stay together in the drawer.
