So it looks like the 5500M competes with the mobile 1650. Probably a good gpu to pair with the 3750h.

its about the same power as a GTX 1060 whch is about 20%+ faster than a 1650ti but about 20% slower than the 1660ti

It's in a class above the 1650 mobile. Nvidia really needs to put the 1650 super into mobile to compete with the RX5500M. It is nowhere near as fast as a 1660 ti mobile though. RX5500M kind of fills...
