When the next gen Ryzen comes out (Zen 4) it would be a different beast. Only buy Zen 3 if you have extra DDR4 sticks and an AM4 mobo. Otherwise the next gen will be using DDR5

I wasn't confusing them; Ryzen 4000 Desktop CPUs are coming out this year, likely at the end of Q3. Ryzen 4000 laptop CPUs are already here and have no impact on desktop CPU prices.
