It meets the UL standard for hospital grade. They've been making high spec cables for a very long time. I trust them to make the cables properly.

Yeah, they can name their price and do, with no relation to the actual cost of the labour or materials. So vote for the candidate who wants to change that.

Should I cut/splice the 3’ into a 1.5’ to halve the time it takes for the AC to travel?

deal Very nice price on these. Switch to 13amp ones for even more savings. S/h starts at $4 and depends on cables and qty. I got 8 cables for $21 shipped. For those who are curious, hospital...

$1.52 only? That's be hospital grade. Real hospital grade would cost $152 or something like that! :) I had a minor surgery last year. The hospital charged me $72 for a pair of single-use...

Just note these are not extension cords. I am sure you already have a bunch of these at home from random electronics. I never have seen one break before or malfunction.

I dont think UL/IEC allow extension cords in "hospital grade". Just so everyone knows though, Hospital grade is all about preventing injury. It isn't "better", it is just built slightly differently...

Might be worth it if you’re an owner of a PS4 with a loose power cord that disconnects easily. I had the problem with my Spider-Man PS4 pro. It’s a known issue with some ps4 models. A higher quality...

Planning to get the 13A, cut the end off, and use to replace the plug on old power tools (that are rated for less than 13A). The rugged nature of this cable makes it much better for this purpose than...

The 13A versions could be a great price to use as cords for plug-in installations of dishwashers and garbage disposers. Disposer cords are typically 3' and dishwasher are 6' and sell for over $10...

If these were "Extension Cords" The "Hospital grade" part would make even less sense. They really tend not to use extension cords in hospitals.

Only the 3’. The 6’ takes too long to send the AC to the PC PS, causing a significant lag in FR and an increase in your frags.
