The average unextended length is 3.6 in and extended length is 5.1 so the 4 in shaft is “half mast” or “partial chub”.

The entire driver is about 8" long, and extends to about 11" when telescoped. It's very wobbly and annoying when extended though, it's just a long bit holder essentially that has a lot of play. ...

It extended 1.5 inches? I have long bits that are at least 1 inch longer than normal bits. Plus there are magnetic extenders that add 2 inches.

Definitely worth the $10. Got one on the last deal. Ratchet seems quality though I wish it could be operated with one hand. Even used the magnetic attachment which at first I thought was a gimmick.

Pull the collet (the black textured part that holds the extendable bit) toward the handle. You can then pull the extendable bit out a few inches.
