I am playing XIII now. I played for several hours before I got sick of the bad performance. Then I installed FF13fix and although it's not perfect, it's absolutely playable.

The battle system is good in my opinion. It's different compared to most RPGs but it's pretty satisfying, it's slightly different between the two games. Definitely different compared to Grandia.
