You'll need the jelly to take this as a "deal" :)

Not a great deal is correct. There have been many many far better deals posted here in recent months. If you can wait just wait. If your home and need a gaming rig this is ok at best.

How is it not a good deal...parts cost more than $1,000 - even if they are not the best quality

These were some of the best deals they've had recently. Like I said, If you're in a rush for a gaming pc and have the money, go for it. Every now and then there are some pretty good deals out there,...

In all fairness, you really don't need an SSD at all for games, if we're going to nitpick. Once the game is loaded, the storage medium plays only a small part if the engine caches most of the...

I created this for you all to check out if this is a good deal. I tried to pick the same parts as kytech. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6r8N27

I agree with all of this, too add, its really SSD(NVMe) PCIe 4 that can take advantage of it NOW. And to me, that was worth the extra $20 on a motherboard. (couple hundred if you buy the entire build...

It depends on your budget. Samsung Evo is definitely the top end in case you want top quality and speed. I trust WD a lot and I am a cheap guy, so I went with WD blue. But WD Black is the best value...

Take five minutes and go through the gaming pc deals we usually have, especially from skytech and you'll see what I am talking about. If you want to waste your money, go for it. All I am saying you...

Other than GPU, cheap rams and smaller ssd size. What else?

It varies on the game. On some you gain 2-3 seconds, on some other it can go to even 10s (coughing the division 2). But what is sure is it's a big jump from SATA SSD without wasting my time to...

Screw Newegg for trying to sell face masks to their customers with price gouging and to entice part sales and not donating them
Post #135839510 added 03-29-2020 11:32 AM by wherestheanykey in Deal Talk
A lot of the parts in this are pretty questionable, even if you deduct the two major selling points from the sale price. Tossing in an extra 16GB of ram and a 1TB hard drive for backups and...

Just a heads up for those that want to add a 3.5 or 2.5" hard drive: Bought the 2060 super version with this case and they used the hard drive bays to tuck some of the wires, so it did not come with...

You are very right. I actually got the deal from the second link below for the 756 and it is currently priced at 1049.99 on there site.

That's the one I got too. It was one of the best price for the value. The only upgrade I've done so far is to get an NVMe SSD for my game library. I am enjoying Ghost Recon Breakpoint with it right...

Gonna be WAY more than one more year for gpus to take full advantage of pcie 4 (I know you said at least but the number after at least should be higher than a singular year). They dont even come...

Problem is I got the small form factor bug and the price diff is more than $20 there. But you're always paying a premium for the same tech, but smaller. Not applicable to this deal at all, but that's...

This isn't a good deal, it's an okay deal. They had something like this for 870 with a 2070 instead of the super.
Post #135833768 added 03-29-2020 6:04 AM by freshloaf in Deal Talk
Recent deals were not the same specs. If you factor in the difference in price of upgraded parts going into this one, it's basically the same deal as the two previous ones. If you're talking about...

Kinda wish it just didn't ship with a graphics card. Any gamer would replace this GPU if buying a brand new desktop

The system Walmart had for $579 was a much better deal. For almost the same specs. Half the price.

still a good deal for a b450 based pc. You just have to not care about future proofing. PCIe 4.0 and usb 3 gen 2x2 is one of the biggest leap in home computing in a long time. GPU cards, wont realize...

Rtx 2070 super is 500$. At $1050 it's a pretty good deal, might find better but none of the recent builds had the super. The Newegg price is now 1150$.
