Light was badass but L was the best part of the series. Couldn't help but feel for the guy and admire him at the same time. One of my top anime characters!

Really good but they should have ended it after the finale of that first Arc the rest of the show really soured the show. Went from a 9 to solid 7.

Watching this Blu Ray as we speak. It's great. Quality of the case is trash though. Don't know how much that matters, but mine was broken when I picked it up and the discs are barely in there as is.

Agree. Not counting the mainstream anime’s like Dragon Ball or Pokémon, this was my first anime that I watched after it was recommended to me as a “beginner” anime. It was awesome! I don’t recommend...

I just pray to god Netflix doesn't bomb Cowboy Bebop live action that they did to this and Full Metal Alchemist. William Defoe voicing Ryuk was the only interesting thing about the movie

This is a fantastic anime if you're into that kind of thing. That being said if you have Netflix, its on there as well. Not sure if the live action movie is any good or not but theres that too.

Sure Netflix has it, but given the current state of affairs, Will you have the bandwidth to watch it? If the grid goes down you can still watch the Blu-rays with your solar powered TV and bluray...

Netflix won't always have it, and Death Note is good enough to own on disc. The movies aren't anything worth writing about.

To me, the first 2 live action movies are good, I like its change in story, not just a replay of the comics but that might anger some fans. Superb acting from L. Live action TV is the worst.
