It's not an "led" tv. It's an "lcd" tv with an led backlight. "Led" tv's are a totally different technology. And I own plasma, lcd, and Oled too so where's my cookie? Lol.

You can get some of that on any LED, even this one. This is a very good LED TV, but IMO, all LED's are not on the same level as the OLED's. I own both.

The price is going down because it's also 2 years old and Sony has newer more expensive models(not necessarily better either--see Rtings).
