Galaxy S5 for $45 after tax. I've been wanting to get a phone compatible with mifare classic so i could play around with it, so it was perfect for me. I don't plan to use it as a phone.

You're just getting the SIM kit, and it isn't activated when you receive it, so there's no need to transfer.

Does that SIM kit have an expiration date? I am using Tello now and planning to turn back to Mint once the current one is over in August.

I would look for a Band 71 phone, Samsung S9 or newer. You'll get better signal, T-mobile is bringing up more towers on band 71 and B71 travels thru building better.

Totally agree. They may be helpful to solve the problem but when we want to talk about returning the phone they ignore it.

I did this on Thursday! Bought a 2016 iPhone SE with 96% battery life for $60. Saw the Mint 3-month offer and added it to cart. UPS delivered Next Day, phone came 2 days later! Pretty sweet deal!

You get it directly from Mint and it just shows up 3-4 days. Mine did by UPS. No email or anything.

Can we buy a phone and then transfer service to a different one (given it's a sim activation)?

No. You would have to port out to a non-TMo carrier and then back.
