So, if I have a 1 acre yard can this be programmed to cut certain parts of the yard certain days so it can cover the entire yard?

Good price. But the kids are at home 24/7 now. Cutting the grass is my only escape.

It does that all automatically. If you have an area that has a narrow passageway to get to you can use the guide wire to set it up as a second area. The GPS models do area management automatically....
