You can use any mirror the size you need. I have the Monoprice mini delta and picked up a 3 pack of little vanity mirrors for my bed. Mirrors make great surfaces because if they're not flat they...

This is what people said when PC's first came out too. You will think of things.

As a woodworker and someone who 3D prints at work, it can be fantastic for crude, single use jigs and setups. You can print your own handles. If you print them hollow, you can fill them with a denser...

Probably one of the best comments I have read on SD. Give it straight! Not afraid to hurt those "little feelings"

Depends how high your z-hop is. Higher will take more time. All FDM printers use some amount of Z hop. Worth the extra bit of time to not knock over prints and waste reprinting time.

Any piece of mirror the size of bed will do. Home Depot or Lowe’s has a 6 pack but they will need to be cut down. Two cuts with a glass cutter ( score and snap). There are also textured glass type...

We are using PLA, and honestly I'm learning as we go. We usually only use the printer to test components for fit before machining. It's nice to help out where we can :)

If only it were available. Lead time is enormous on these.

We have a bunch of people printing them in NE Wisconsin. A local company lasered 1100 of the shields, now we're trying to print as fast as we can to be ready! I'm curious PLA or PETG for your...

Not the clear part. You can print the headband that the clear part attaches to. Just use a report cover as the clear part of the mask.

Mirror and glass are different. Mirror panels are flat. My original glass panel from creality was not. There is a chance of bowing up or down. So you get essentially a concave or convex surface. If...

It's true, there was a guy on the news yesterday who is an artist at Knotts Berry Farm and he had been laid off and he was making legit face shields for healthcare workers with a 3D printer.

Genuinely interested in using this for a filter kit mask. Plenty of amazing excuses have almost gotten me into 3DP.

Where was it manufactured? That's becoming extremely important to me. Needs that can only be met by a certain country will mean I buy from that country because I have no choice. Wants are different...

Probably a fair assessment, but I'll add on to it... If you're considering buying a 3d printer but you're worried you'll have to tinker a lot to get it working, then chances are the hobby isn't for...

You will still need to learn how to level properly for any auto levelers to work well. They still require a decently flat build plate and can only compensate for smaller variations not huge ones....

Will Monoprice price adjust? Just ordered this at $319.99 (BTW, they raised the price $20 before adding the $40 off coupon). Edit: NVM, found it on their help page, they adjust price within 7...

The metal and rubber dampers work, not the cork type from years ago. The silent boards are drop in replacements. A few small companies make them such as th3d (for creality) or high end like duet....

This was their attempt at a ultimaker 2 clone with an addition of direct drive. The sides actually make it harder to work on the printer and maintain it. But makes it a little easier to cover it for...

Does this have auto leveling? So tired of my ender3. I got a bltouch, but didn't realize I'd need an Arduino to flash it. Trying to figure out how to do it with a raspberry pi, but ran out of...

Could you explain what a 'silent board' is? I've had this printer for years and I'd still like to make it quieter if possible. I've added dampers under all the stepper motors, but there's still a lot...

The newer Ender 3s are better, that's for sure, but the "required" upgrades can seem a bit tedious to those new to the hobby. Adding a silent board though is so very nice on this machine.

Bumping objects is a result of not high enough Z-hop or not setting print and support avoidance (combing). Over extrusion on corners from miscalibrated esteps could be a small factor but that will...

Seconded. I've been burned on openbox - it's missing a few little parts that the original returner didn't bother to put back in the box, and you're screwed.

A nice little machine, but I'm not sure it's worth nearly twice what you'd pay for the low-cost standard-bearer Ender 3.
