If you are only doing very light gaming I would focus less on the 144hz part and more on getting an "IPS" panel rather than a "TN" panel for the best color and viewing experience. There are 3 major...

It's not very hard at all. I run most games on the highest settings at 144hz/FPS @ QHD with a 2-year-old CPU and a 1080 TI.

IPS is bad enough, but TN? Computer monitors are in a weird place, the price to value ratio is way off.

Never heard of AXM brand. Does anyone own one and how's the quality?

These have also been my experience with them. They often lie about small things. I remember ordering a 4K samsung from them a few years back and they marked it as shipped but I never received a...

I can't speak for this monitor but those who are flat out trashing TN panels, have you seen them lately or are you just parroting what others are saying? I went into a Microcenter before this whole...

Likely not. Newer games at higher res will tax the gpu harder. QHD = 1440p and 1440p@144Hz will likely suck if the game isnt optimized well. If you want to see what your card can do then have a run...

Do you have the model numbers of those TN and VA panels for us to compare against? High end TN panels are good yes, but the one in this thread is not high end...

Uhh, something is seriously wrong with your PC if you are getting bad FPS in rocket league with a 1070... I can push 150+fps with a 1050 @1080p. I used an EVGA 1070 on my Asus PG279Q (1440 @144)...

Different types of displays. Each have benefits and disadvantages. People around here love IPS due to viewing angles and color accuracy. :) TN typically has faster refresh rates, and I'm not sure...

Awh darn it. I am very interested in the product, but I am very afraid of the newegg service if I were to get dead pixels. :(

Isnt 144hz on a 5ms response time kind of useless? There will be a bit of added smoothness but most people go that high in refresh to be able to react quicker. 60hz is 16ms between frames so if...

I bought the IPS version of this. Its fine for the panel, but the included stand is AIDS. Newegg returns is also a hassle to deal with.

Good luck with Newegg if something wrong with your new monitor, DOA, dead pixels, etc. They will give you runarounds with return or replacement and most likely expect to be hit with restocking fee. ...

That may be true today, but I plan to have this monitor as least a few years. It won't take too long for a entry-to-mid range graphics card to be pushing it.

Yeah EMS is straight forked right now and customs is backlogged. I wouldn't hold out too much hope getting this monitor anytime soon.

Simple math will tell you that QHD is nearly twice (78% more) as many pixels as 1080p. It's an issue of speed and parallel bandwidth. To say that these cards would do it easily only proves that you...

Just to add to this. Amazon regularly has an AOC cq27g1 monitor for $230, when it’s in stock. Same specs as this, except it’s a VA panel. Much much better.

It's a shame hearing that Newegg's RMA policy is notoriously bad now. Back when I built my first computer, you could pretty much return whatever you wanted no questions asked.
