Yes, adding the kit does speed it up to 15mph. The Minipro by itself is electronically limited to 10mph. Once you connect the Minipro to the go kart, the software opens up the top speed to 15mph.

You don’t want to ride this on grass it’s not really designed for that plus you will wear the battery down quick. We use it on our driveway kids have lots of room to play. So smooth surfaces is ideal.
