These say they run off of BNC for both video and power. I already have existing BNC cables, would those work with this system? Or would I need to use the cables that come with it to power the cameras?

I wanted to leave a very important installation tip. Run cat 5E/cat 6 for camera wire. You can convert the rj45 ends to BNC. Why? So when you update to IP based cameras in future you already...

No. BNC is actually VERY reliable and provides excellent recording. Think of it as very proprietary, old tech but that doesn't necessarily mean "BAD.". You're locked into their software, mostly. ...
