Ok thanks - we use a lot of compost instead of fertilizer so it works pretty good, but these seem great for small spaces or indoors.

Just be aware you use potting mix in these, not soil. Also will want some 10-10-10 fertilizer, and hydrated lime if doing tomatoes.

You'd be surprised.. if you get the smallest terracotta pots, once you silicon them together they hold a lot of water and don't take up a ton of space.. I've even got them in some 2.5 gallon pepper...

I'm a raised bed kinda guy, but these are perfect for small spaces. They have wheels, you can use them inside and they also have a water reservoir on the bottom for bottom watering.

A tomato plant that size I wouldn't do more than one. I grew a 7 footer in mine and don't think it could have handled more. There is just not that much room to cage or stake the plants in this thing....
