Hopefully no one here is thinking of getting the OnePlus 8. It's essentially a more expensive, watered-down version of the 7T. The main thing you're getting with the 8 is 5G. Save yourself $200...

This OnePlus is a complete and utter disappointment. Huge price tag for what is supposed to be the cheap phone.

Last good 1+ phone was the 5T IMO, after that downhill. I bought almost 50+ oneplus phones for family & friends, after 5T I stopped recommending it.

The lack of trade in value and resale value relative to other manufacturers in this price segment (Apple/Samsung) are the real deal killer.

Love all the business gurus on how to run a company. Don't like the price or phone? don't buy it. Oh no...you can't afford their best phones anymore? Go cry some more.

I'm glad I pulled the trigger on the LG V60. Flat display, large battery, most of all still 60hz display. Had the 90hz on the 7T, played around with the 120 hz screen on the S20 Ultra and I dont...

Oh.. and 5G doesn't work for AT&T, Sprint, VZW, and U.S. Cellular. apparently according to OnePlus "Check carrier compatibility"; only works with T-Mobile, but then 5G isn't really widespread and...

The galaxies have been overpriced for years. Phones struggle to keep their value, this is especially true for Samsung. 1+ phones usually hold somewhat better. T-Mobile's n71 5G is fine in major...

Oneplus used the typical startup business model. Offer an affordable initial product to lure customers and then once you establish a customer base jack up the cost to what you really want to charge.

If you are going to change to new phone after 2 years, S20 series with buy back maybe better. I am debating right now.

So sad to see the direction OnePlus is taking; I have 7 Pro but the price is gone in wrong direction... only thing everyone takes away from this is a 1000 dollar phone.. and no other sharp message...

Couldn't agree more. The 7t is $499 now and when you compare side by side... No way on the planet is $400 more for this phone worth it. No way. The processor may be newer, but tests show it's...

Absolutely agree with you! Oneplus had been famous of price killer. But now, a s20/20+ completely kill 8/8 pro.

I think the argument is that OnePlus's best here is not as good as Samsung's best. I think OnePlus focus on being fast is kind of misleading if I have to buy an overpriced proprietary dash charger,...

At that price... it's no longer a flagship killer. Samsung S20 series when on sale ($200 off S20/S20+ unlocked version currently) or price drop after a few months after launch seems more interesting...

They just got more greedy. Parent company (appo) makes good economical devices. One plus is just like a mask I’ll pass this one.

I am looking to upgrade from a pixel xl and have been eyeing the 7t. Any insight into when/if there may be a price drop on that model, relating to the release of the 8?
