Just a reminder for anyone planning on using this for Plex. You need a Plex Pass to enable hardware transcode. I would also look into Nvidia cards for increasing that stream. Second, this PC only...

You’d probably be better off keeping with the Quick Sync via iGPU in the i3 vs. trying to slap a GPU in there.

Do u need to add a graphics card to this to show or does this have integrated graphics??
Post #136239167 added 04-14-2020 1:08 PM by runner724 in Deal Talk
You're probably right, but since I don't particularly know the performance of this CPU for transcoding h264 and h265, I am putting the looking into of the GPU out there since the 10 series Nvidia has...

So... if you put in a 2080... you think the CPU would be the bottle neck.... NOT THE PSU? If someone thinks to buy this for gaming the newest games... well... they are crazy.

is this a good deal since it's only $30 off.
Post #136238186 added 04-14-2020 12:41 PM by runner724 in Deal Talk
Yeah. It's fine for that. Just don't expect to game 4k. If you do get it, highly recommend an SSD and adding a ram stick for 8GB minimum.

I'm thinking about putting 32 GB of ram in this for a home minecraft server/3 other game servers. What do you guys think? For $200 that seems impossible to beat?

Seller’s feedback is a little concerning (96%) for eBay at least. With “Seller Refurbished” products are others weary of non-standard repairs and parts? eBay is not validating their claims of meeting...

This usually goes for over $500 and it’s only $169 so it’s $331 off very good deal if u need a desktop with upgrade capabilities.
Post #136239539 added 04-14-2020 1:19 PM by OliveLanguage948 in Deal Talk
You'd need to upgrade the Ram too (at least 8gb preferably 16 gb) . The CPU may be a botteneck in more demanding games too but I think it should be fine if you don't have super high expectations .

I put in a gt 1030 because that's the lowest that i read would work well with such a low psu. Works great, before that it couldn't even run roblox for my kid.
