Not all of them do but you can use the Roku smart app and change the channel, volume and have the audio come through the phone speakers vs the tv. My parents love this feature as they use headphones...

No, but if you buy that remote separately it works. At least it does on a 55R617. You can also use the Roku app but it won't work for HDMI inputs, just streaming.

You don't need an oled tv to prevent this halo effect. There are other panels with the lighting behind the screen instead of only around the edges.

For $30 more you could get the 55S425 on sale. I got one to replace a 10yr old Sharp and it's decent for a budget tv. Not very bright, but it's a bedroom tv for us, so it's only used at night anyhow.

I have this TV and it is fantastic. Roku is the best UI I have ever used built into a TV. The panel is great. The only con I would say is the HDR is fake but other than that it is a great panel.
