I had the same issue. Lol and checked google and amazon product photos. The elastibands don’t get fully used. I just use the side one for impact driver.

I have both this and the Milwaukee 12v (brush) and I find them to both be great! You do get a lot more ecosystem products in the 12v Milwaukee. They seem to have one for nearly every job.
