If DV is a non factor I would suggest Panasonic’s 420, it’s upscaling is much better especially with non 4K content. During the Holidays it went for $130 which was a steal.

I agree the transfer makes it or breaks it. People argue about fake(2K) or true 4K but it all falls on the transfer. A good fake(2K) transfer can trump a bad/mediocre true 4K one.
