It doesn't because this one isn't brushless. The Bosch brushless is quite a bit more expensive. Now whether you need brushless is another issue.

Get a pole saw, much more convenient and works surprisingly well.
But you'll still need the reciprocating saw to cut the pieces on the ground.

Thanks OP! I dropped my Dewalt recip saw years ago and it broke in half. I have a lot of tree limbs to cut and the new saw will save me from dragging an extension cord all over the property.
