What in this kit would you consider “garbage”? I’m a electrician and have all these dewalt tools, while these don’t have the very latest in technology, they are still very good and dependable...

I get all that. But at the end of the day all I’m saying is i don’t consider it a power tool. It is a filler item in my opinion. Like you said, you grabbed one with a rechargeable or battery for...

If the batteries were bigger capacity and drill was hammer then I’d get one. But still a good deal if yoUte starting from scratch.

May want to add YMMV in the title as some of us don’t see this deal. Either varies by regions or deal is dead. Thanks

Someone earlier mentioned "DeWalt quality" (which I guess is true since it is DeWalt after all), but what they failed to mention is that there are many different quality levels of DeWalt.

If you need any of the 3 extra tools in this deal I recommend you get this. Otherwise keep what you have. This set does have the better drill (780) vs the $150 set (771)

Anyone have the model on the driver? Just says 1/4" impact driver but not the actual model. Trying to compare to some of the other deals posted and the driver is what I use most.

Judging from your avatar, I'd think that you may be appreciative that Stanley is trying to keep a few manufacturing jobs in America by having the 4-piece set assembled here out of foreign components,...

I'm fairly certain there is a bit more going on. Brushless typically have higher power output, meaning for the given task, you're using a lower % of the total output. This corresponds to less...

Probably can get a cheap one on ebay all day. Personally I'd go for the 7.5 brushless or flexvolt, the 6.5 has so much more limited blade choices and brushless for run time would be a big difference...

I'd argue that brushed tools have a less central point of failure and a more easily repaired control system in regards to the magnetizing of the windings that they control. That said brushless is...

Must be bad luck. They have 3 year warranty so unless your projects are many years apart you can get it replaced/ repaired. Dewalt are known to be reputable so you got a lemon, I wouldn’t fault the...

Brushless is overrated. Both get the job done. You don't get paid more because your impactor sinks a scew 1 second faster. Unless you own the company.
Post #136874696 added 05-06-2020 11:48 AM by big mike in Deal Talk
Probably not, you're getting a better drill (2 speed instead of single and slightly more powerful motor). The other tools are the same, and you get the same batteries. So you're getting a 355...
