What’s up with mixing standard with XR?
Post #137114981 added 05-14-2020 2:37 PM by Landmonster in Deal Talk
I don't know. The XR Dewalt tools are much better Key downsides of this kit: Not all XR Not all brushless Saw is too small. XR look better too... for whatever that is worth.

Is the Drill coming with this kit "ATOMIC" ? It doesn't say Atomic anywhere in the website or when I looked up online for this Drill(DCD796B) but I just want to make sure.

Seems like a pretty awesome deal if you need all the tools. I have the brushless sander and 6 1/2 saw and have been very pleased with both. You would really need a 5.0 battery at least for the saw...

Are these ever going to ship? Ordered on 23 May. Said delivery by 3 June when I ordered. Still says processing. I actually need them this weekend.

I think the set for $549 is better. More tools. Just shows what a little creative advertising will do to move tools. The $499 set says savings if $700, while the $549 set says only $250 savings. ...

Why would you need a cordless sander. The battery is heavy and tips the balance, doesn't last enough. I would go with a corded sander any day.
Post #136897430 added 05-07-2020 6:54 AM by sockerslacker in Deal Talk
Why would you need any cordless power tool then? I've used this sander with the 2ah battery that mine came with. Doesn't really add any imbalance and was more than adequate run time for the top,...

In my opinion, absolutely not. I’d go with the $499 that has more brushless tools and a sander compared to a radio.

Think that's an issue with all of the tough system boxes... I've had several out of the cardboard box they were shipped in with broken parts.

If the 1lb 2Ah battery is too heavy for you, I suggest you ask a small child or elderly person to help you lift it.

That sander is awesome. It's my go-to over any corded one.

The drill and impact driver are quite better on this one. Like others have mentioned the XR looks better too. Has built in USA logo not sure about the other one.

I've used mine with 5Ah batteries and it's fine, not like I'm sanding in the air. Guess if I'm sanding sheetrock or something the weight would be an issue but hell for that, use the 1.5Ah or 2Ah...

OP you might fix the title to 3 batteries, the extra 4.0 is a nice add vs some of the other deals right now. Also a better dril/driver than the 149 or 399 deals. If you're a contractor you may have...
