The Sams link is posted as a price reference. It is the 2nd cheapest place to but these batteries at the moment, albeit at twice the price. No Costco link because this deal is not available at...

The lithium AAs are only really good in special use cases (long quiescent life, low draw, very small/short peak power), but completely worth it if you need them.

These for terrible reviews on Amazon. I'm so confused about the proper application of these? What are they good for?

I use them for a smart lock that’s outdoors because it handles the cold temp better and don’t corrode when used for a long time.

I use them in a particular application that I consider important (an electronic dead bolt on one of the doors of our home) where standard alkaline batteries only last 6 months. These Energizer...

The lithium will also run at a higher voltage than NiMH. Love my Eneloops, but depending on what I'm using for, they require frequent recharging.

I use these in my Blink XT cameras. They last quite a bit although that is relative to the amount of camera usage. I'm here in Miami so I'll have to stop by one nearby and check it out.

They are good for anything you don't feel like changing the batteries often. Use them in my trail camera. Alkaline batteries I would have to change every week. Lithium AA batteries last weeks...

That's strange, I found an old receipt from last year, and these were $16.99 normal price. Maybe you were looking at misplaced or incorrect tag?

That's true, but standard (NiMH/eneloop) rechargeable batteries are just as good, and far more cost effective, for high-drain applications. Alkalines will lose 50-75% of their rated capacity when...

Great post, excellent information! Eneloops are great, I have a ton of them that I use too. I don't use alkalines any more though. Such a waste vs NiMH! If I can't use Eneloops, I use an Energizer...
