Got the Hopkinson 2nd which is supposed to be like the Park Ave. They were pretty good for a factory second with very minor marks and you had to be within a foot to see it, the stitching hand some...

Its a tough choice we all want to help out, these guys are like one of the LAST american made shoe companies left, and in this business climate those jobs in Wisconsin are needed but a hard earned...

Tried them once last year for two pairs of shoes. It cost me $50 restocking fee if I remember correct. The packing of the shoe in the box clearly show those shoes were return by someone. The...

This. They are not the best value at MSRP. They very good value when on sale. I keep coming back because they sell wide sizes for a wide variety of styles. Many brands only carry D sizes.

If you're upgrading from Cole Haans, you will be plenty satisfied. It will be a bit like the first time you had real mozzarella.

I have several AE shoes, golf shoes, and some boots. Never tried their seconds before. Eyeing the Alpine Lace-To-Toe boot, as it's ridiculously cheap with this sale. My expectations are for a...

Due to the restocking fee and sizing I went with the Hopkinson...the Park Ave is hit or miss with sizing.... "Sizing: Unlike the other three shoes, the Park Ave does not fit true-to-size for most...

Johnston and Murphy turned out more comfortable and reliable for me, with consistent quality. The fits for AE vary a lot, and factory seconds have a quality risk - not worth at all with restocking...

I will take the gamble on my local shoe manufacturing company. One of the only ones left in America. Plus, 250 minus 30% for independence collection is a steal

I suppose at this price point, quality control gamble is just something you must live with. In general, people seem to be higher on Meermin's QC, leather, and build quality than on AE's. Consistent...

There are nicer shoes for less than or the same price as Allen Edmonds (Meermin sells a better shoe for less than AE, and Grant Stone sells a far superior shoe for around the same price as AE's main...

Even with 30% discount, not very compelling. The shoes I liked were "imported" and still over $100 with discount. Considering the high restock fee - no thanks.
