At that point wouldn't it be easier to use a tiny bit of teflon tape to make a more secure connection. It's not permanent but should do the trick if nothing in the product reacts to the material.

To replace the battery you have to unscrew the head completely, and it will knock out the sticks in the process. Also, it won't be easy to find a glue that will adhere well to an anodized surface.
