Worth it? My MIL needs a new router and probably can get away with one satellite. I was about to pick up an Archer C7, but a mesh system for just a little more money seems like a good choice.

You already have tri-band and mu-mimo. I'd figure those would make the biggest difference when it comes to multiple devices running at the same time. Your range might be better if you spread them out...

For most this probably isn't an issue but if you run your own internal network with a private DNS server, Orbi products leverage DNSMasq and do not allow you to specify an internal DNS server in DHCP...
