Seems better than the 120 Hz Alienware I paid like 6-something for on a great sale. At this price, I think only the 144 Hz LG that was like once on sale for $700 could compete.

Most modern Samsung VA panels are still in the 8-10ms average response time, with black to black transitions being up to 20ms, so you will still see smearing. 144hz will need around 6.9ms response...

Exactly. My only guess is many new Chromebooks and "Ultrabooks" (like Macbook) have USB C only output. But, most of those people will have a breakout dongle... so I don't really get why. Weird.

He has a point, how is it humanely possible to recognize and respond within single digit ms? 1ms is 0.001seconds just FYI. But to be fair, I can tell if a movie is shot at 24fps versus higher fps....
