The NCVT 2 will kill you. Best to go with the NCVT 5. The 2 is badly designed where the battery cap also acting as a shirt clip has a tendency to come loose and give false readings.

I bought last year Sperry Instruments STK001 which similar to this unit for 11.99. Not sure what the difference in brands are but it worked great when I remodel the kitchen.
