From the reviews I’ve been reading the HomePod slightly edges this out in terms of sound quality but the assistant features and integrations are what edges the Google Home out overall.

It was actually $188 for combo of home max and mini 1st gen. Return the mini getting back $18. So, the final for google home max was $170. It was at walmart.com last December.
