Mine is attached to the electrical service panel so I'm going to have to turn off the main breaker to swap it out. I was flabbergasted tonight when I saw the ring around the button lit up. I pressed...

The new transformer should fix those issues. The fun part is finding the old transformer to swap out. Most are in the attic or basement, and sometimes coat closet. However it could be anywhere.

Sorry, my fault on the edit killed the link. But yes, it’s referring to the V2 Power Kit and that’s what I have installed. Hopefully this second Pro and transformer works out for you. :)

Your like doesn't work. I do have a Power kit installed in the mechanical chime. That said, I've seen documentation where there is a version 2 of the Power kit and to contact Ring support if you...

I would look into this if you haven't already: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us...rbell-Pro- Mechanical chimes tend to really mess with the Pro, even with the correct transformer. So the Power...

The pro I have won't even power on now. It showed good power before, but I didn't know if that was just the normal state and if something weird happened when the doorbell was pushed. Perhaps driving...

You likely already know this, but what I found useful was checking the Device Health under the device’s settings in the app. It should give you a rating on the row “Power” that can shed some light on...

I didn't realize the Pro had an internal battery. I bought this deal anyways because I didn't know when it would expire. Plus I just got notice the transformer was delayed in shipping and won't be...

It does sound like your transformer could be the source of problems for your Pro. I installed a Ring 2 for my parents on their existing system just to see what it would be like on an old underpowered...

I learned a hard lesson on Ring doorbell. After I bought the door bell, I thought the Ring would still work without subscription. It turned out the Ring will record NOTHING after one-month free...

I have a few year old Ring Pro. It has always kind of sucked. When the button was pressed the video would cut out and not record. Also could not answer the ring either through the app. I think...

Standard doorbells run off lower voltage than the 120V in homes. The Ring doorbell similarly requires 8-24V, thus a step-down or transformer is needed to provide the correct voltage. Also, older...

It depends on how big the hole will be. I’m sure there are ways to adapt the doorbell to look nice while covering any gaps. Existing wiring will make things easier, however your transformer needs...

From that thread "Re: Ring doorbell not charging" - that thread isn't related to this device that has no charging involved - what is it that you want people to know from that thread?

No need to run additional wires with most existing old school doorbells - it comes with a device that goes into the exiting door chime box. Just pull the existing door push-button and mount the...
