What should I get instead? I'm looking for something that would cost less then $100 for a modem and router (can be two separate systems). I see the comments saying how outdated this is. The...

Seriously. I can't believe Netgear would still sell this for $59.99 when other newer models are almost equally in price or could be less than this. I still have three c3000 used as a backup willing...

Ditto. This modem is Wi-Fi 4 (N), nobody needs to be buying a modem this old in 2020. Wi-Fi 5 (AC) has been available for years and Wi-Fi 6 (AX) is already available.

no need to worry about the NAT, just configurate 192.168.0.10 - 192.168.0.255 as the DHCP, the connected wifi router set the LAN address as 192.168.0.2, disable the DHCP that is it.

I have N600 model. The router can be disabled so you can just use it as cable modem and add a router. But I don’t know what dealing with double NAT means.

N? N?? N??? Srsly??? For people wo don't know much about router tech: stay away from this. This is so outdated, you wouldn't wanna buy it even if they sell it at $10.

If wifi can be turned off, obviously the modem have ethernet ports (it has 2) for wired connections that can be used for another router.

I think he is asking about whether the combo unit can be used like a modem with a separate router. This can be achieved if the combo unit allows pass through or bridging.

The wifi can be turned off. There's button in front to press to turn the wifi on and off.

Serious question... does a combo modem allow for the router to be turned off and a separate router used?
