where did you hear the 3000 series is crap? the 3600(x) won't be an upgrade for this really, but the 3700x and higher will certainly be reasonable upgrades depending on your workload.

Yea, the real story is the 3300x is all on one chiplet, vs the 3600 which is 2 quad chiplets with 1 core turned off on each. The lag makes the 3300x 10% faster in games.
