My Hisense H8F has Bluetooth so I connected the speaker to my TV via that and it worked perfectly.
I thought it was much easier than running cables. Sounds great too!

So you can use the TV remote for the sound and not have 2 remotes. You will see some TV's have one of the HDMI ports labeled ARC. This is where you would connect a soundbar with that feature.
