If you can find one the 17" EVOO with the RTX 2060 is only a few dollars more. I picked one up for $757 total. They have had several of these available today but they come and go real fast.

is this overkill for non-gaming needs at this price?

This isn't a great price. You can regularly get the XX60 card of current gen for 1000. This is 300 off because you're getting a 4-year old laptop AND a refurbished computer part. I'd expect this to...

It's good and don't pay attention to the desktop review. It's irrelevant. Back in the day, they were comparing this laptop to $1500 laptops. For original price of $1200, it wasn't a great deal,...

i'd like to find a 17" laptop with similar specs, but I'm not a gamer, so don't need anything related to that like graphic cards as it would be overkill. But i would like a better processor if it is...

It's advertised as "VR Ready", but the higher end VR headsets generally use display port for their connection. This has HDMI ports which will work for the older Vive or Oculus headsets. See...

I upgraded mine with Pro and a 1TB nvme SLC drive, and am using it as a desktop. Very high build quality, and I also bought the Evoo...no appreciable difference; for all intents and purposes, I like...

Budget is maybe slightly less than this deal but this one isn't too bad. No specific Ultrabook, just wondering if being an Ultrabook differs much than a gaming laptop. And yes the RAM is killer.

This isn’t the laptop for you if you want to use it off charger. (More of an easily movable desktop)
