Incorrect information. You download the maps on your phone for plenty of app options and they work without without signal. That's a non issue. The biggest drawback to phones compared to this battery...

Even if not hiking it's great for a bug out bag. It allows using GPS without any transmission to reduce your EM signature. GPS in phones aren't the best in accuracy as well
